Russia.com Sold for $1.5 Million Via Sedo
Russia.com was sold today (November 26th 2009) for a hefty $1.5m via Sedo.com, biggest domain name marketplace. In this article we are going to elaborate whether the price was a fair one or it would have gone higher, considering that vodka.com was sold for $3 million
As you can see from the above picture, Russia.com was sold for $1,500,000 which is a nice amount of cash but when compared to other big domain sales (beer.com $7m or even vodka.com $3m) its not too much. Russia is one of the biggest countries in the world and its well known around the world so the Russian Czars might have offered even more to purchase that gem
Domain Name Statistics
The domain name was actually firstly registered in May 5th, 1995 and since then it has mostly served as a guide for Russian Tourism, Russian Culture, Russian business directory and other Russian related stuff.
