• Traffic starts coming to your site at the moment you tweet, post an update, submit it on digg or any other social bookmarking website)
• Inexpensive and can be easily done with a couple of basic Internet skills

Advantages of Search Engine Optimization

• Long Term & Highly Profitable (If done right)
• More formal & professional
• Can’t be easily done (this is an advantage for the ones who know SEO)

Do any search on Google regarding a problem you have or a “how to” question, you will see that Yahoo Answers is almost on TOP of every other website, this shows once more the supremacy of social media sites

With the actual changes on Google where they are showing real time discussions from Twitter, it is doubtful whether you can actually outrank high authority social sites such as Digg , Twitter , Facebook and much more plus another factor which actually affects directly search engine optimizers is the fact that Google algorithm is changing frequently and who knows, in the future the actual tactics might not even work anymore

If you don’t know, there are thousands of websites online which Google seem to love very much and every single article from those websites is indexed in Google within hours and not only that, it ranks top 10 in Google! This kind of sites are usually authority sites that’s why they can outrank any other site and rank quite high in most of the search engines

How To Find Those Websites?

To find those kind of websites is quite simple, actually is much more easier than you can think about. Alright let’s get this straight up . . . what kind of products does a spammer advertise ? health related products such as viagra, levitra, cialis , xanax etc

We are going to do a normal search on Google for the term “buy cheap xanax” and let us see what it comes up

As you can see from above the first website is an .EDU , whereas the third one has used a username such as “xanax” on an authority website such as LaunchPad and if you click on it you will see his description which clearly says “Go at bla bla bla link”

If you also check the last result on the image above, when you click on it you get automatically redirected on the xanax page, this means that authority site allows HTML and maybe the one who posted that xanax article also added a redirection code so it automatically redirects the visitors to his/her own website

Conclusion

This might be considered the tip of the iceberg as of course I cannot share all the details however I have given a lot of clues on how to find yourself those kind of websites and how to use them for your own personal benefit. Make sure you use them for a good purpose and try not to saturate the market :-) Use the same methods I used to find other authority 2.0 property websites (especially press release site) to get ranked in less than a day in Google Top 10 results)

Everything is based on the quality and optimization of your opponents in the first page. There might be 100,000 sites but the first 10 are extremely well optimized with thousands of authority backlinks and it will be difficult for you to outrank them.

TIP: Use long tail keywords; when people want to buy a new car, they are not searching  “cars” but  “buy cars in new york”

In this article we are going to check the competition for the keyword “new jersey car rentals”

The competition in Google for the broad phrase “new jersey car rentals” is approximately 20 million  whereas the competition for the exact phrase “new jersey car rentals” is approximately 210 thousand, which is low actually

We visit Keyword External Tool and we see the volume for “new jersey car rentals”,  you see that the plural form has actually less searches than the singular form. On that site you also get keyword ideas as well, so if we were targeting “new jersey car rentals”, we get the following interesting long tail keywords which have a nice amount of searches each month which can be added to our site

• rental car new jersey
• cheap car rental new jersey
• car rental in new jersey
• rent a car in new jersey

Got My Keywords, Now What ?

On-page optimization is really important when it comes to search engine ranking positions. Forget the old  meta=”keywords”, Google doesn’t pay attention to them.

Try to use the keywords you found in the titles of every page on your site. Make sure you have a normal keyword density (something at 2-3 %) otherwise you can get penalized for keyword stuffing. Create a sitemap and link all of your other pages from there, make sure to use appropriate titles for every single page on your site.
